You just take a hammer to it -

And flatten it.

If I tried to do that when I’m designing (like I wish I could sometimes), I would ruin a lot of computers…

Hey Everyone!

I am so excited about this new necklace in my shop that I’ve decided to give one away to a lucky blog commenter!  Anyways, the necklace is a sweet little personalized monogram necklace – I think you’ll love it!  Perfect for everyday wearing, it makes  a great gift for a friend, relative or yourself!

Each necklace is made by me, and they aren’t done with a particular mold so there will be differences particularly with the edges of the pieces – they are so fun to make!  These are made from custom made stamps that I designed myself and made myself actually, with a little help from a custom rubber stamp company.  I have a few more designs that I will be debuting in the shop later this week too

Hey, look there, I’m on The Daily Digi today, woot woot!

I just love TheDailyDigi.com so much – Steph is nice and awesomely helpful – she even posts about our Songbird kits every month!  And they have amazing tips and info.  Fabulous- check out all of their other featured guests this month here and you can grab the digi files here.

I don’t know about where you are, but the weather where I am is GORGEOUS.  It’s so nice that all the neighborhood kids have been getting their grooves on outside riding bikes in the circle.  We are so lucky – we live on a small cul-de-sac.  I’m talking 8 houses total on the street and there are 10 kids of happily-playing-together age.  So awesome how they all get along and ride bikes, color with chalk, and just overall PLAY.  Max is getting to be quite a handful on these adventures, so it’s a learning process for both of us.  He has to learn his boundaries and I have to learn to relax.  Not easy for either of us

Also working on a new set of pendants tonight – I’ll be giving one away on Ali Edward’s blog at the end of this month as one of her sponsor giveaways.  I might give a sneak peek tomorrow on the blog, we’ll see if I get the chance to finish it or not

Off to watch some FlashForward – I hope it gets better cause that show was dragging before it went on hiatus.  Have a great night!

So I’ve been toying around with different site designs.  As I said before I am not good at this, so it’s a lot of trial and error.  I have finally decided on using my Strawberry Frappe kit as a bit of a base.  Basically just the colors, and I made a blog kit from it a week ago that I haven’t done anything with.  I might use some of it here, but the blog kit doesn’t seem to work well with wordpress – it works best with blogger.

So anyways, I’ve started to redo the look of the blog but I’m working on figuring out how to put things where they go as well as buttons and things on the right there.  I also have been going back and forth with my home page design.  I have two businesses, but I like to have a common site for both so if you google my name, you come to meredithfenwickdesigns.com and then you can go from there to my DHD store for digi stuff as well as to Etsy for my jewelry.  Then there’s the blog here.  So that’s where I am with the site look.  I’m obsessing about it right now which is why it is what I am talking about it

Other than that – tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day!  We don’t do much for it around here – I hate corned beef so Gordon took the boys to my mom’s on Sunday while I stayed home and worked for the traditional meal.  They also serve it at work for him tomorrow so he’s in heaven   We’ll be having flank steak here.

So since it’s a holiday I thought I’d give a little goodie away here on the blog.  But I have been obsessing over this site look and another project, so I haven’t had time to make any new digi stuff.  So I thought I’d share something old that lots of people probably don’t have.  Way back when I released the Day Dreams Collection originally – I had a chat to release the launch and gave away this as the freebie for coming to chat with me.

It’s probably been about a year since my blog went down and I decided to just let it go.  I miss it and so I’m bringing it back to life.  I’m working on the design – not sure I like this one but it might last for a little while depending on my thoughts and ideas on this.  I am a terrible web-coder and have no skills in the matter, but I am tying to poke around and make some changes.  I wish I knew how to make a blog from scratch but I don’t so I am working with a template and trying to customize it – fun times

Anyways!  I wanted to say hi to everyone again and hopefully you will follow me in your blog reader or however you read your blog.  I’ll be talking about life stuff, my digital scrapbooking stuff, my jewelry stuff and any other stuff I come across
